BUMP - 25 weeks

Olivia is now the size of an eggplant and all is well. Feeling her move around is one of the coolest things EVER!

Me: So when can Olivia get her ears pierced?
Jeff: I don't care! Whenever she's old enough to ask for them. Just not when she's tiny. We don't care about piercings and tattoos.
Me: OK. When can she date?
Jeff: Never.

Jeff: Your job will be to change her diaper, try to get her to stop crying, wake up with her all the time.
Me: yeah right!
Jeff: My job will be to cuddle her, play with her, hold her
Me: umm, I think it will be more even than that!
Jeff: nope. You've never heard of a Mommy's Girl have you?

haha! It's pretty fun to hear Jeff's thoughts about having a little girl. He's mostly kidding ;)

cribs, dressers, chairs, bookcases OH MY

Look how pretty! Now comes figuring out where to place all of the rest of the furniture! Of course I have time, but I just want it all to be perfect NOW. What? is that so crazy?

Option 1: Chair in corner next to crib, dresser in corner next to bookcase

(I like the chair this way, but don't care as much for the dresser)

Option 2: Dresser in corner next to crib, chair in corner next to bookcase

Option 3: move bookcase next to crib/closet (where the small table is now), put dresser where bookcase is, put chair in corner next to crib (can you picture it, because I didn't have the gumption to move the bookcase yet...)

(dresser on wall instead of brown bookcase, chair where it is, bookcase in corner next to closet-flush against the wall, not diagonal)Decisions decisions...I'm sure I'll have it figured out in a day or two. I just can't wait much longer than that!

BUMP - 24 weeks

First, the pretty much finished crib! It looks so pretty :) Jeff has spent a LOT of time on this and it has NOT been much fun. We used a composite wood that we had on hand rather than a hardwood, in order to save money. Well now we know-composite is CRAP. It kept splitting and breaking, it was rough instead of smooth. It became a very hard project, not because Jeff can't make something beautiful, but because he had to make something beautiful out of what turned out to be close to junk :( In the end I think it looks just wonderful and I'm so proud of him for all the time and energy he put into it when I would have given up long ago and put the crib on our registry. I can't wait to get it in the nursery and take a picture. Stay tuned for that!

Baby Olivia is now the size of a papaya or corn on the cob. Hmmm, not sure how those can be the same size, but just go with it :)(this morning)

BUMP - 23 weeks

Pardon the blurrines-oops. And did you notice I got my hair cute and colored darker? Don't worry, no one else did either ;) I think it looks WAY darker and I like it, so that's good enough for me. We'll see you next week for the 6 month installment!

Race for the Cure

Today was the Race for the Cure and it was a beautiful day! Usually my mom and I walk with our friend Angie (a survivor) and several of their friends. This year my dad joined us, too :) This is a fun annual tradition that I'm excited for Olivia to join in next year.

BUMP - 22 weeks

Look at that bump! Olivia is about the length of a spaghetti squash this week. She is moving around like crazy as I'm typing this and I love it! She must have enjoyed dinner ;)
