You should hear our weekend conversations. After we've been piddling around the house or yard for a while one of us will say "so what do you want to do?" I'm sure you can guess the response. "I don't know, what do you want to do?" Let me just say we are not that great at figuring out what to do. But we've decided something fun for weekends, we're going to try a new place to eat every weekend. Cool, huh?! Last weekend we went to this new restaurant downtown in a fancy building. It's called Nosh. It was very pretty and artsy and even the food was artsy. And small. But it was still yummy! And they had a flyer for their Holiday Dinner and Wine event. Jeff saw it and said, "this would be cool. And we'd actually be doing something!" So we signed up for our reservation. I'm pretty excited. I think I'll even get dressed up. And it's our 5 month anniversary, so that's pretty cute, too.

Beware of my eye
No seriously. These pictures are kind of icky. I've had this redness in my eye for 2-3 weeks. But last weekend when Jeff was looking at it he said "I think it's a bump." Really? Yikes! I decided to go to the optomologist. She said it's a cyst. She prescribed some eye drops and if they don't help it by tomorrow I'll have to go to a different sort of doctor, but that it's nothing to worry about. A cyst?! Well, I confess, I'm worried. And paranoid. I keep thinking I can feel it, even though I can't at all. And I think I'm giving myself headaches over it. And I swear it's growing and soon it will cover my whole eye! We'll see what happens when I go back in tomorrow. So far the drops aren't affecting it at all :(
It looks so much worse in person. That red spot is really sort of yellow with dark red all around it and it's raised. YUCK.

Routine
I'm not a morning person, are you? But it helps a lot if I get into my normal routine. Have you ever noticed that? Maybe it goes along with the type A part of my personality. So Jeff kisses me goodbye, I get out of bed, make the bed, take a shower, turn on the radio so I can listen to NPR, start blow-drying my hair, go turn on the coffee, finish blow-drying my hair, get get a cup of coffee, straighten my hair, get dressed, grab lunch and my to go bag and everything else I need for the day, and hit the road. I even have a road routine! I turn on 99.9 to listen to the celebrity gossip. Hey, I have to balance out the news somehow! I even usually switch lanes in the same places and put the sun visor down at the same times. It's weird! What is your routine like? Are you as particular as me???

random
Um, how adorable is this bag? And so me! My dear sweet friend Carly and her precious mom sent it to me! They had it wrapped in cute tissue paper tied with those pink ribbons and I thought it would be so cute to tie the ribbons to the handle. I was right! So now I have a new "everyday bag" as I like to call it. Because I use it every day. THANKS SO MUCH CARLY AND JULIE!!!
Last weekend I carved a pumpkin into a Jack-o-Lantern. It was pretty fun. And humorous for Jeff, I think. He watched me. I kept giggling to myself because it was fun and I was having a good time making this guy's face. So it probably won't last until Halloween, but at least it will last forever on my blog! Aren't his eyebrows just the best touch? I've never done one with eyebrows. I'm pretty proud of myself!

pots and pans
I just had a 4 day weekend! It was so wonderful. Nothing too spectacular took place, but I got to do a lot of relaxing and sleeping in and I got a lot of stuff done. So did Jeff. He got the door put on our new bathroom and hung our new pot rack!!! (well, I guess it's technically HIS pot rack, because he got it from his parents for his birthday.) Isn't it pretty?!

Jams, etc.
You now have your choice of play lists. Neither of them start automatically, so you have to scroll down to the end of the blog and start them.
Also, I added a new link thingy on the left of the page. I'm going to put links to sites that I think show great ways to love :) If you have any ideas to share, let me know!

Happy Birthday, Baby!
Jeff is really good at being goofy. I think you can see what I mean! Does he look 32?! First we had him open his presents. Then we had a little party where we watched the Broncos with friends and family. Then he opened a few more presents. It was a great weekend!
Oh dear.
My first pound cake. I have to admit, it was really yummy!
Jeff and Adam after a long hard day of watching football ;)
More goofy present faces!
My parents got him rocks. Wasn't that sweet?
The important thing: He was born. Then he loved me.
(he made this normal face because he loves me :)
