is it personal?

if you didn't/don't personally know someone in Haiti, does that made the tragedy not personal? why? we're all people. we are all humanity. it's all personal.

I'm really struggling with this one, and so grateful for your honest posts on the subject. Hard to have such a heavy heart, but still listen to the happy voices of my children. Maggie understands just a bit... but the other girls have no idea, and they don't need to. I'm really really thankful. But have no idea why I'm blessed like I am. To be a blessing, I suppose, but that's sounding really hollow and cliche right now.
